- Step 1: Review the manufacturers installation instructions and modify standard new construction window installation accordingly.
- Step 2: Inspect rough opening for the window. Double check the opening for square, level and plumb.
- Step 3: Prepare opening. Buck for a brick opening and rubber flashing for stud and sheathing.
- Step 4: Install new construction window. Be sure window is square, level and plumb. Install with nail fin. Secure jamb screws.
- Step 5: Use self adhesive flashing over the nail fin.
- Step 6: Caulk the corners of the window. Be careful to NOT caulk or cover the weep holes of the window.
